Overview

The aim of the Agricultural Tractor training is to provide both theoretical and practical tractor training to ensure the safe usage of agricultural tractors, including safe operation of vehicle movements, three-point linkage, PTO drive and pickup hitch. As a result of the training you will receive the relevant certificate or operators card depending on the accreditation required.

Who should attend?

The Agricultural Tractor Certification is for Plant Operators or agricultural works who need practical, theory training and assessment to do their job.

What will you learn?

The trainer will spend time developing the skills and knowledge of the trainee to prepare the candidate to safely use and operate agricultural tractors as well as preparing them to sit and pass, the require theory and practical tests.

  • Practice unladen and laden.
  • Travel over rough, undulating ground, steep inclines and level surfaces.
  • Explain the actions required for hazards around sites.
  • Ensure load integrity and security.
  • Park and shut down procedures.
  • Attach and set trailers, mounted and PTO drives for operation.
  • Location of key controls and understanding of their functions.
  • Environmental considerations.
  • Location and identification of main components of the machine and explanation of their functions.

Our trainers and testers have a wealth of industry experience to meet any specific needs of our clients, all trainers have the accreditation needed to meet the requirement of delegates across the Plant and equipment training categories.

Delivery Method

Training and testing can be carried out on your site or at our dedicated training centre. Our delivery will be a combination of theory and practical exercises to suit the course criteria set and delegates needs. The course will consist of no more than three candidates at a time to ensure that each trainee receives adequate operating time on the machine.
