Our Forklift Driver Training equips operators with the skills and certification needed to work safely and comply with UK regulations.Forklift driver training courses are designed to cover all customer requirements. Our trainers bring a wealth of experience and knowledge, the course is delivered to meet industry standard. Courses can be tailored to the needs of both novices and experienced operators. In every case, it involves classroom and practical sessions covering hazards, risk and general safety in addition to current legislation Our courses are done at your site, using your equipment. Get staff trained in order to be compliant with UK law, which states all operators and supervisors ‘must have adequate training. lift-truck operators are trained to the standards outlined in the L117 ACOP.

Who should attend?

This practical training course is designed for prospective reach truck operators. The training & achievement test fully complies with the approved code of practice for training lift truck operators. Any individual who wishes to achieve a high standard of lift truck training and gain a Certificate of Competence.

What's Covered

  • Have a basic understanding of the industry, the dangers of working in the industry and their responsibilities and a forklift operator.
  • Have knowledge of the manufacturer’s handbook for the particular machine to be used and other relevant sources of information.
  • Be able to locate and identify the major components of the machine and explain their functions.
  • Be able to locate and identify steering, driving and braking controls and explain their functions.
  • Conduct all pre-operational checks in accordance with manufacturer’s and legislative requirements.
  • Safely mount and dismount the machine.
  • Start and stop the engine/motor and safely move the machine off and stop it safely.
  • Configure the machine for travel and maneuver it safely laden and unladen, over inclines, in open and confined areas.
